When I was 12 years old, I would often visit my aunt's shop in Rue Réaumur in Paris. My favorite activity as a little girl? Marveling at the new costume jewellery she received. Whether it was pearl necklaces or crystal bracelets, they all sparkled in my eyes.

When I was old enough to buy my own jewellery, I chose a ruby ring I purchased from a renowned brand, but what a disappointment! The ruby was dull. I then decided to study gemmology to access high-quality gemstones, those usually reserved for the public by major jewellery houses at high prices, in order to understand their characteristics. My first discovery was an exceptional gem: a ruby of the highly sought-after "pigeon's blood" shade, characterized by its vibrant red. This stone, highly coveted by professionals, is considered a rarity in the market. I received numerous compliments from colleagues and industry experts, who were intrigued by my ability to find such a marvel. At that moment, I knew I wanted to pursue a passion I'd long held close to my heart: Sourcing gems and jewellery design. This passion project has blossomed into Politains, a brand built on the values of quality craftsmanship, ethical sourcing, and timeless design.

The journey so far has been incredibly rewarding. Seeing Politains come to life, from initial sketches to the finished product in our clients' hands, is truly special. There's a sense of accomplishment and purpose that comes with creating something beautiful and meaningful.
